I would appreciate it if the local school districts would suggest a "voluntary self-tax" based on income so that those of us who are willing to support local schools with donations as well as tax payments could have some idea of what our fair share would need to be to preserve the current level of funding. For example, something like:
California taxable income $50,000 - $74,999, voluntary self-tax = .5% of taxable income
California taxable income $75,000 - $99,999, voluntary self-tax = .7% of taxable income
Etc.
