These jerk off pacific islanders hang out in front of Molly's and St. Stephens and just pick on and beat up anyone they single out. I see it almost every weekend. Even the men will beat up on women and laugh about it. These jerks need to be put down. MVPD has been told about these jerks and did nothing about it. They continued to let them rumamuck of our town. They're from EPA and should STAY in EPA !! They come down here and are underage drinking and stealing drinks and money from people and no one does anything about it. These people are animals nothing more than low down dirty animals !

Are the cops that stuiped !! The hate crime and the shooting have nothing to do with eachother... those animals attacked innocent people minding their own business... they got shot in EPA acting like the thugs they are.... those people that got attacked are not thugs... theres no way they went and got guns and went and found these people and then shot them up !! get real lame ass cops...one thing has nothing to do with the other...Figure it out Detective David Carson... what a moron...Those people are animals... they went out looking for a fight in MV like they always do and then went back to their cage (EPA) and got shot there...

Rich,

Isn't it ironic that you are saying they should "STAY in EPA" after they fought Indian people saying "they did not belong in America". Maybe you have more in common with these "animals" than you think.

East Palo Alto is not a "cage" as you put it. Not all people from there are bad people and not all Pacific Islanders are out to pick fights. This story is already pretty disgraceful for our city, don't make it any worse with your babble.

Nick-
Yes, those PEOPLE should stay in EPA when all they do is bring their violent behavior to OUR town...I see it weekend after weekend.
Mr. Perry...maybe you should come out from behind your desk and see how these animals act !! They have no disregard for anyone, women, men, even the elderly have fallen victim to these PEOPLE ! Those Indian folk are more than welcome in America and in MV and anywhere else they want to go...because they do not go around beating up people for no reason...I stated that, they should stay in EPA if they want to act like animals... and that is simply what they are no good dirty animals...that prey on innocent people who have every right to speak their language in public...so how often do you go to EPA ?? I assume not at all !! Cause your an middle aged white man who'd get his head kicked in just like they did to those Indian folks.. EPA is a cage...I know you don't want believe it but lets be real here please... EPA is a [portion removed] and you know...and this is a free forum for people to vent their anger, feelings and frustration. So I don't think my "babble" is going to do anymore harm to an already dispicable act by gang members that come from out of town...Is what I'm talking about any more disgraceful then city employees getting kick backs from Shoreline with concert tixs and then turing around and selling them ? or council members having affairs with married people so they can favor them with garbage contracts ? am I adding any more disgrace to the city then the last 3 stabbings that have taken place downtown in the last few weeks !? please Nick ...

Rich,

You see, even the moderator is telling you to cool it. Your rant is a little hard to pin down because it strays some, but let me respond. I've been to East Palo Alto hundreds of times in my life, I grew up in Palo Alto. I know the misconceptions people have about both Palo Alto cities and I see them as blatant stereotypes.

NOBODY wants violence in our beautiful downtown Mountain View, but that doesn't mean we need to flip out and start labeling or name calling.

Rich - what is your proposed solution? Saying they should stay in EPA isn't realistic...so what is?

Solution? It's probably not that complicated. The police can pay better attention to the trouble spots, whether driving by or on foot, and confront/arrest people that are causing problems.
This incident makes me mad, and it is a disgrace for our city, as Nick wrote. But we certainly can't set up checkpoints and banish all pacific islanders and EPA residents.
Recently it certainly does seem like we need more police presence downtown at night.

First off, saying your "babble" isn't "going to do anymore harm to an already dispicable act by gang members that come from out of town" does do harm.

How many times have people "like you" put a generalization on a group of people and it just escalates? All it takes is a small group of ignorant people to blow it out of proportion!!

I am one of "those people" that "stay(s) in EPA"!! I go to Molly's, St Stevens, Zen, Merv's etc almost every Friday with my friends and cousins. Most of the bouncers and bartenders there know my crew. Why should we stop going because of a couple of dumb youngsters do something stupid?

"I see it almost every weekend."

Well we got to meet up then, because I don't see it. I'm usually across the street eating and stopping fights (very rare) outside the Robbie and Jen's restaurant.

"Mr. Perry...maybe you should come out from behind your desk and see how these animals act !! They have no disregard for anyone, women, men, even the elderly have fallen victim to these PEOPLE !"

Maybe you should come out from behind your computer and actually see what the problem is! Not all of my "PEOPLE" are gangsters running around in the streets. Not all of my "PEOPLE" are violent people attacking anyone and everyone. You try growing up with both parents working 2+ jobs to support the family. Most kids have is the streets. Instead of trash talking which is going to do...what...nothing...do something!

You said the cops have been told about "these people" and they haven't done anything? Well get more people to complain. As long as you don't come across racist (like you did in your prior posts and not saying you are) and you are going against them because they are violent people...not Pacific Islanders from EPA I'll join you...but don't just come and "hate" and say your venting. There is a difference.

I saw some pacific Islanders PUSH AROUND a group of white and latino children the other day at the mall.

THESE CHILDREN WERE IN MIDDLE SCHOOL, yet the pacific islanders said racist things and pushed around the group more asking for money.
If i can recall, it was a group of middle school friends made up of 2 blonde girls, 3 latino boys and 4 caucasian boys.....THESE POOR KIDS WERE BEING PUSHED AROUND BY SEVEN PACIFIC ISLANDER HIGH SCHOOLERS!!!
WE DO NOT WANT THIS VIOLENCE FROM THEM IN OUR CITY!!! ARREST THEM AND SEND THEM BACK TO EPA!!!

These people are not civil enough to be free. Lock them up until they are too old to hurt others.

EPA should request national guard assistance if they can't keep the peace themselves.

I never see MVPD downtown unless there called upon. There should be at least 2 officers downtown when all the bars and clubs let out at 2am. I'm not saying they should be there all night. They just need to be there for an hour till everyone goes there own way. If you go to Downtown PA or San Jose.... you see cops standing around keepingthe peace until everyone get's going on their way. MV is not a big town and there is not a lot of crime, so why can't the police provide more presence downtown for just 1 hour ? MVPD has lots of Reserve cops that they can use. I always see 10-15 cops standing around at Shoreline when a concert lets out. Just the mere presence of a police officer downtown would be enough to deter these criminal acts !!! MVPD stand up and take notice !! you are not doing enough !!

Hey Epalahame Lolohea, don't you work the door at St. Stephens ?

More police would be fine, as long as it doesn't get to the level of Downtown San Jose.

ALSO: Saying that "I saw a Pacific Islander do this and do that.." is RIDICULOUS!!
Take any person who's lived an even semi-balanced life (I know there seem to be less here in the city of plenty, but they ARE here) and ask them if they've seen at least a few examples of EVERY race committing SOME sort of atrocity, and also seen EVERY race doing something heartwarming. It's called human nature, people. Folks have screaming "burn the witch" for centuries, because bloodlust is a part of human nature too. Silicon Valley is reknowned for this, it was the last place in our civilized country to realize that a mob lynching a suspect without fair trial is a no-no (Early San Jose History- Lynching in St James Park-Hart Kidnapping)

In conclusion: If you live on Earth, ALL of your ancestors and maybe some of your progeny have: killed, healed, looted, donated, burned, repaired, raped, educated, poisoned, nourished, aided, slacked, worked hard, and generally LIVED.

Alcohol HAD to be involved, considering the late hour it occurred at.
I am by no means condemning alcohol, but I'd be in favor of an I.Q. test rather than an age restriction on alcohol. Some folks don't have enough sense to act right when they're sober, these folks should be kept away from intoxicants at all costs. They need all the brain cells they have.

TO: Bill

Nah, I wish though. I go there enough. Hehe.

TO: Karl

Then let's bring it up to the MVPD. If they don't do anything, start a petition. Especially since this incident!

TO: James Blutmach

There you go with the ignorant hate...I can post just as many things done to Polynesians by other as you can. Starters?

I went to Mountain View High and guess what? I got roughed up by 3 CAUCASIAN upperclassmen. Walking through Mountain View I've been jumped by LATINOS...etc etc. None of those were gang related or me acting "ghetto". Polynesians are not the only ones going around committing violence. It just seems it's our turn to be the focus of this witch hunt.

You want to play the blame game? I can play too.

You want to do something about the problem? THEN DO IT!!

BTW...did you help those kids who were being pushed around?

How dare you call my comments "ignorant hate"?
I typed exactly what i say that day, i saw tongan high schools making fun of a group of latino and white kids who were all middle schoolers it seemed, THEY WERE PICKING ON SMALLER PEOPLE!!! How is that not CRIMINAL?
And to answer your question- yes, i did do something about it....i told the mall police and they escorted out those criminal-minded pacific islanders. How dare they come in our city and attack all the other races who are not islanders? This is just pure racism and police need to start arresting these pacific islander gangs. OUT OF MOUNTAIN VIEW NO!! No hate crimes here! Poor innocent indian couple, i can't imagine how scared they must have been when those savages brutalized them. MVPD please protect our cities MOR to deter these barbarians!!!!!

Savages??? Barbarians??? Criminal Minded???

Those type of words have been used to justify all sorts of atrocities throughout history. Honestly, you just sound racist above all else.

You say, "How dare they come in our city and attack all the other races who are not islanders?".

All other races? Can you name another example of this that would include all the "other races" you're refering to? Do you read your posts before you submit them or are you just screaming at your computer?
