no not even they should juzt fix the apartments and leave them up cauze i would really hate 2 see them get torn down because i grew up in these apartments from wen i was starting 1st grade till the end of my high skool dayz so leave em up

Juzt? Cauze? Wen? Skool? Dayz? Did you learn grammar, punctuation and spelling from Slater? Did you actually graduate high school? I hope you were just fooling around and writing in "cell phone text-ese". Otherwise, it's not exactly a ringing endorsement of our city's school system.

It's about time to build 40 to 42 single family homes for a change = selling faster ! Keep all nearby Classic Homes owners happy as ever. MV has too many undesirable tenants like Gilroy-type gangs.

Classic Homes should get in the mix to buy the land and build more townhomes.

Affordable housing for the elderly would be nice. We do not need a grocery store or another park. Devonshire Park is plenty for our little neighborhood.
It has been nice not having the police drama in recent months (okay... other than a couple of vagrants hanging out in the empty apartments). Crime has been down; toddlers have not been unsafely playing in the street; shouting matches in the wee hrs of the am are non-existent now; super loud music that shook my windows is 99% gone; I can find parking on the street now; I do not have to ask people to get off my shaded property on hot days(the smokers and public urinators were especially terrible); no more people sleeping in their cars on either side of the complex; no more screaming/fighting unattended children waiting for the school bus at 7am; no more gunshots or fireworks going off on holidays; our household is finally getting undisturbed sleep; AND my child is no longer scared to play at the park. Those of us who live in this neighborhood deserve peace and safety. A new buyer will have a tall order but it can be done. Tear down the old buildings that are not up to code; please get rid of the rodents; and build something that is Green. Thank you.

No parks....no city funded project. The city doesn't have the funds to keep paying their employees or keep up on the services that we need and want in Mountain View. Level the buildings so it does not cause more issues and leave it an empty lot like the cuesta annex.

I agree with the idea of a grocery store but no strip malls please. I also wouldn't mind a new set of town-homes or single family homes like they just finished on Annie Laurie. Just keep the neighborhood feel alive. Those apartments with the previous tenants were just a magnet for criminal activity. My family had TWO of our cars keyed, neighbor's cars broken into, etc.. The drama ended when those folks left.

Hey don't bag on Gilroy, it's a lot nicer than Mountain Spew or Slummyvale. I used to live in those 'hoods until I decided enough is enough and moved to .... Gilroy! Peace and quiet, at last! Yes, we have downtown areas comparable to yours, with *some* problems. But it's not like Peninsula towns where crime, homelessness, and general squalor are spread all over.
