Please do NOT elect Sally again. Her social programs are part of the reason the state is in such a dire financial condition. It would be nice if Sally were more aware of the problems and costs of all of her programs. We do not need Sally or any more politicians like her. We need leaders who understand economics and who are fiscally responsible!!!

I agree, we don't need another Lieber. Her tax and spend put us in the boat we are in now. And wow, this has got to be one of the longest articles the Voice has ever devoted to anything. Makes me wonder.

I'm a true blue democrat who will never vote for Sally LIEber for anything! She is so out of touch with reality!

Well, a quaint (and old) play on Ms Lieber's last name, and two accusations without a whiff of substance. What high level discourse.
The state of California is in deep financial trouble largely because of voters foolish enough to vote for any special-interest bond measure put under their noses, and an unwillingness to pay the taxes for the programs they demand.
What exactly is your beef with Lieber? What programs? What did they cost? If you cant give specifics, I dont want to hear from you

Oh I can give exact specifics ;) But I wouldn't put Sally above retaliation so I won't go into it here. And you have to wonder about the name play, sure does get tossed around a lot. I know I'm not the only one to use it. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck...

"Oh, I can give exact specifics"-- translation: I have no idea what I'm talking about
So, Frances, by your logic, you must hate America, since another country makes up part of your name-- quack, quack, socialist

SL proposed and supported several measures to protect special interest labor groups. In the end most of these failed because it was so obvious what she was trying to do.

Nice try Sally, but we know you posted the above. Sally never ever responded to any of my concerns.
Good luck trying to vote in "leaders."

How to detect someone on a message board without the ability to engage in real debate:
"Nice try Sally, but we know you posted the above"
Dont call me Sally unless its a Saturday night and I'm wearing my XXXL strapless ;-)

I went to college with Sally Lieber. She made no bones about being a fierce self-promotor who will do or say anything to further her personal goals and political agenda. She married Dave exactly because of his finances (matching BMW's - please!) while pretending to be homeless for a day. This woman is ruthless, will say anything and throw anyone under the bus to get the positions she wants. She comes from a family of great privelege. Her mother, father, and siblings are lawyers and her father is well connected in DC. She is the worst of the worst, having hardly ever worked a day in her life. She is a leach on society and the most extreme example of sucking at the public teet for all it is worth. God help her constituents if she is able to continue her grab for power.

Sally was a total nut-job in high school (ask her about ray-guns and jack-o-lantern pumpkins). She didn't wear glasses, and didn't understand squat about politics - to say she idolized Gloria Steinem at that point would presume she knew who Gloria Steinem was.

A truly vile politician. I'm one of many that she's thrown under the bus. I look forward to contributing to her opponent when she next runs for office.

Well, I am one that Sally has helped. And I am NOT Sally, in case you are wondering. My name is May and Sally helped me when I had no where else to turn. I think that if you don't like Sally it is because you already have a lot of money and privilege and you don't have real problems. She helps people that no one else does. People like me don't have much power but we have someone who listens to us. Maybe she has a rich family. I don't know. But I know she has helped me and other people like me, and I am going to vote for her, because she helps the people that need it instead of just saying mean things all the time.

I have known Sally for over 10 years and I can't speak to the past, but since I have know her she has earned my respect and admiration. I have sat in her office and seen her take on reps of state agencies in order to correct their shortcomings. She has guts.
