Build a school for a choice program with jobs being cut and funds being cut and Whisman neighborhood without a public school although two exist-controversial is an understatement-SOMEBODY with POWER should step in and stop this nonsense, because we with small voices are heard but ignored, so who out there that is not already a PACT parent has some power that they want to use for the good of all our children. We need a superhero, and fast!! SOS, please help the children!

Teachers, what do you think of your jobs being cut while a choice program is spending our money? You deserve more.

Ok -so our priorities are core academics, extra-curricular activities and jobs-don't we need to align our ACTIONS with our VALUES? Right now it seems like we value giving a small community everything they want while the rest of us will have to get by with even less. It is not too late to change this decision trustees-otherwise you will be remembered for trying to fix a problem the last administration made by making an even bigger mess. Is that why you ran for the school board? Stand up for all the children and make the right choice!

"Both" Mountain View school districts? Last time I counted, there were 3 Mountain View school districts. Nearly 1/3 of the students in Los Altos Elementary School District (LASD) come from Mountain View.

Board members Walter & Wheeler need to explain this mess they have lead the District into. They were on the Board during the Slater closure, which has now lead to overcrowded elementary schools that have no space for enrollment growth; as well as no neighborhood school for the North Whisman area.

Superintendent Ghysels needs to explain how a $3 million shortfall is reconciled with spending $2 million on the PACT program, which serves many students who are not from Mtn View, and will cost the District an additional $363,000 in annual costs, including the loss of $125,000 in YMCA rent each year.

Most importantly, all of them need to explain how they are going to lead the District forward. With all of the new residential construction planned for Mtn View, what plan does the District have to meet future enrollment. Until they do this, there is no reason for any resident to trust or have confidence in their leadership. Why should anyone donate money, or vote for any future bond or parcel proposals?
