Dear butchers of San Antonio Road,

Take away a beautiful street. It is shame you did not get more than one opinion on HOW TO REPAIR the roots on the tree….

Another beautiful street, GONE.

You all could have “cut” the roots on the street side and put steel plates on that side to keep the roots from pushing up the road. This is what happens when you only get one opinion…

I guess Middlefield Road will be next.

I agree it a shame to remove the trees and all the green that went with them. They offered an impressive gateway to Mountain View.

It's unfortunate that all the lovely pines have been completely chopped down, leaving the street feeling bare. I hope the replacement trees and plants will eventually restore the street's attractiveness, but it'll be a long time before anything grows large enough to replace the shade and greenery of the missing trees.

If the city council of PA and Mtn. View were in charge of a European city, they would pave over the cobble stone streets and tear down the medeival walls just to widen them. They certainly are in the process of butchering San Antonio and what was once a street with at least some aesthetic qualities. Stripped bear, it looks worse than I imagined. I just cant wait for the wide, smooth lanes to be laid down so that people can speed even more than they do now down that stretch of road and all the high tech traffic signals and road markings that will keep traffic speeding along.

If the work is "during weekdays," then why are they closing a lane each Saturday?

This is typical PA. They cut trees down all of the time and provide no mechanism for appeal like the city of MV. Shame on them.
