Idea sinks for Soap Box Derby track

Mountain View's Soap Box Derby organizers have pretty much given up on a plan to build a permanent track near Shoreline Park on a former garbage dump site known as Crittenden Hill.

The Hetch Hetchy right of way at 450 Whisman Road is as flat as a pancake. Don't you need a sizeable hill for soap box derby races?

Maybe when Google finally builds their multi-level ultra-Green building over on Shoreline and Charleston (Web Link they can include a gigantic soap box derby ramp that goes east over the Stevens Creek Trail and exits onto Moffett Field. It could then be similar to the fireman poles Google has in their buildings now and be used by their employees for efficient and easy access to their new 1.2 million square foot complex to be built over at Moffett Field (Web Link
