How much smoke does that wood-burning fireplace put out?

Sorry, I was looking back at this article and only just noticed that Bernie Brightman, a resident of North Whisman had asked on Oct 25, 2008 at 10:54 am

It's not wood, it's gas. The fireplace has a combustion box that forces all of the gases through the chimney, while circulating the hot air from around the box into the house. Obviously ;)

The house has controlled geothermal heating and cooling system for the house's air and water. The house design has a chimney for decoration.

When this house was first built, there were environmentally friendly and energy efficient hybrid cars in the driveway. Photos taken, news and magazine articles were published. Soon after gas guzzling sport cars (porsches) showed up!
Hypocrite, maybe?

Fun article and congrats on the badge of honor :) I was curious what percent of electricity is generated by the solar? Any kind of storage on site or do you rely on net metering?
