I want to clarify that my statement about a city-run shuttle had nothing to do with getting Google employees around (I didn't mention that at all).
The shuttle is for residents to be able to connect to points of interest along Shoreline Blvd which are not necessarily walkable (Shoreline Park and the ampitheater, to name a couple). Google does a good job of transporting their people around without any help from teh City.

Hi, Alicia... I completely agree with your key point about how the city needs a better transportation system. However, I don't think it really answers the question about whether you support open space or high-density housing. Could you tell us your thoughts?

The last commenter is correct - Sylas the Dog is too important to be ignored any longer. It's a disgrace that none of the candidates brought this up. Sylas the Dog has long been the "third rail" of Mountain View politics, and none of them have the courage to publicly take a position. All we hear are these vague, "I will reach across the aisle and form a bipartisan commission/task force..." kind of platitudes. What are they hiding? Are they uninformed? (Shouldn't they all have campaign aides to brief them on the latest news about the Terror of Hope St.?)

Can candidates also address the quality of life in Mountain View as well?
We are residents located on Ferguson Drive (Whisman Statation area) (next to highway 237) and have become very concerned about constant freeway noise. It is a significant problem and lowers our quality of life in Mountain View.
We are wondering whether City has ever considered installing sound walls before approving new housing projects.
There are sound walls installed near 101/central. We don't know why the communities around Ferguson drive should be treated any less.
