WOW-you sound like you really could have used a glass of wine-settle down now-I am sure with a little patience you could have figured it out and had a good time like the rest of us, but considering your mood we are all glad you chose to go elsewhere!! Have a nice day!

Tell the whole story. The $5 parking was a charity fundraiser for CHAC, which is a great nonprofit organization. They had huge signs telling you that.
Since you're on PA, you could have always used public transportation. Both the 22 (el camino) and Caltrain would have dropped you right there.

Sorry, I didn't see signs saying the parking fee was for charity, but the initials don't mean much to me anyway. Having to fight our way through traffic to get there made us feel bad before we reached there.
Yes, public transport was an option, but we went straight after Church and had a later commitment which meant that we needed to be with our car, particularly as we had planned to purchase some artwork which may have necessitated a couple of trips back to the car. We have just finished a major remodel and were looking for artwork for several rooms. One of us actually work just off Castro Street and we had underground parking keys, but could not find our way there, too bad.
We went to the PA fair a couple of weeks back and enjoyed that, but had hoped to see some of the same artists as we had particular items in mind. We found the parking there much easier.
Maybe next time.

The whole point of my post was to say that if parking had been free in the parking lots, there may have been less parking on residential streets.
Didn't mean to cause offence, just offering constructive criticism. Maybe next time the charity can raise money another way. I felt for the local residents who may or may not have been suffering with all the traffic outside their homes.

If you didn't mean to offend, then why did you have to add in that we missed out on your art purchase? Your loss, not ours, and the kind person that did shell out 5 bucks for parking probably had a
great time and also made a difference in our community-thank you! Hope you found something elsewhere to put on your empty walls.
