At age 8, Joshua Smith already knows he wants to be an artist when he grows up. And with 19 published books and his own business card, the soon-to-be third grader is well on his way.

Thanks for the article on Joshua Smith. We need more of these stories to show what the coming generation can do.

I am the Director at the Peery Piano Academy where Joshua has been studying the last couple of years. His persistence and patience have been remarkable. I think this goes to show how much impact two good, committed parents can have in helping kids deal with challenges.

We have different speeds, different strengths and weaknesses. They call for different tactics. Kudos for Joshua (and his family) for taking technology and subordinating it to their needs (as opposed to the t.v. & surfing that can exacerbate ADHD and similar challenges)
