If the city and police want to cut down on gang activity they can start buy enforcing the laws of the United States. If individuals are pulled over or stopped on the street and can't prove their identity (i.e., they're here illegally) they should be processed for deportation with the assistance of immigration authorities. A good place to start would be the Day Worker Center. But no. Only citizens are held accountable to the laws and taxes, not illegals.

Mountain View caters to illegals. Why can't all citizens ba able to find work at the Day Worker Centers? There are a lot of starving legal citizens, who have been laid off and lost their homes, and is living on the streets, who is helping them? It seems to ba a double standard here. We are paying taxes for poep;e breaking the law. The goverenment knows this is going on, why don't they step in and do somethng about it? And what about the immigration department? Do they know where the Day Worker Centers are? What about the homes and apartments near this Day Workers Center? The Day workers will be hanging around their homes all of the time, and then there is Reingstorff park, where we are told gangs hang out! This Day Worker Center will be right in the parks back yard. There are many new people moving in the neighborhood, buying homes, what do they think about having the Day Workers Center in their neighborhood? Does the City of Mountain View care about the homeowners and taxpayera?

Enough! Everytime I see a posting from you I will call you ignorant. Your ignorance comes out so vividly that I can' stand it. Question for you Enough. Are you a Native American? Concerned! You talk about the legal citizens of Mountain View with out and have lost their homes. Plenty of jobs digging trenches working at fast food places. I rarely see any Caucasion folks in these places. Go getters are the ones that survive in this country. The problem with legal citizens is that they are LAZY. If it is not a job working in a cubicle or pushing lead all day then they don't work. I had a neighbor that was laid off from the Bio industry over 10 years ago. She is very well educated and is not willing to look for a job outsid of what she studied for. Guess what has happened? She has continued to get loans from her home and now ows so much that she moved out of her home and is renting an apartment. Still does not have a job! I offered her a job as a secretary in my small produce company and she said no thank you. I am a legal immigrant but I was an illegal immigrant. Now whether you know it or not you eat my vegatbles and fruits everyday. I own the company! I pay my taxes! I have always paid my taxes! I can almost guarantee you that I pay more taxes and contribute more to the US economy then the two of you ignorant ones put together. I get very upset when we have ignorant people commenting. We are all immigrants in this country. European's, Latin American's, African's, Arab's. We are a melting pot in America. This country is not dumb. They do what it takes for the country to move ahead and continue to be the super power. When folks like the two of you think of immigrants you automatically think of Mexicans. And that is not the case. Russians have a huge population here in Mountain View.
