I have been to California Roadhouse a couple of times. I was always surprised at how empty it was although I have been there a couple of times. The food was ok but not brilliant for what it was. On one occasion they made a real hash of our order and the attitude was that it was our fault, not their's. (They served us with an appetizer with the same name as our entree and charged us for the entree). The decor was good, but the smell of the free peanuts was a real turn off for me and I am sure others felt the same. If airlines have to stop serving peanuts for fear of allergies, I feel the same should be said for places like this.

Bummer! My wife and I enjoyed dining at Pick Up Stix. I wonder why they closed... It always seemed like they did a brisk business. Takeout too! I wonder if it has anything to do with the upcoming redevelopment of the neighboring area into a commercial/residential mixed-use location as approved by the city council.
