Our family is truly sadden by this trajedy. There are so many questions unanswered. The story told in this article is not quite the details as our family knows it. We have reason to believe that this assault on our family member was criminal. According to family & friends the couple did not hire a limo. The driver of this limo sedan was hired to drive patrons home from a local bar on New Years' Eve. An argument between the driver and the man started while the couple was in the car. The driver did not drop them at home. When the driver reached the intersection of Whisman & Middlefield the girlfriend exited the vehicle thinking her boyfriend was behind her, but instead the driver took off with him on Whisman heading north. This was aprox 1:15am. He did not show up at the house until 2:20am. What happen in that last hour. When he arrvd home he had a black eye, but no obvious head trauma. She called him several times, no answer. Right now our family member is in critical condition and cannot tell us anything. If anyone has any info or seen anything that night in 300-500 blk of Whisman or 300-500 blk of Middlefield please contact police. Thank you in advance.
