Original post made on Oct 17, 2007

Unbelievable situation. The management company is in denial. The residents should sue for millions! Who would want to retrieve their stuff at this point??

Please also mention that while we are kept out of the building, by Mr. Mike Drouin, he insists that there is only "dust decontamination" and "general janetorial cleanup" while the warning signs (put up recently) on the sealed apartment clearly state the presence and dangers of asbestos. Moreover, he has illegaly confiscated our personal properties and does not allow us to retrieve them.

Does anyone know if the Santa Clara District Attorney is proceeding with criminal charges against Prometheus?

With the rich and poweful, like Prometheus (Americana Management COmpany), all the city, county and State agancies as well as the police shy away from confronting them. What do you think, they would have done to you, if you had done this to a dog!

Money and pollitics go hand in hand...This is AMERICANA!

Look at the names of the tenants, then you'll know why the District Attorney of Santa Clara counhty, Mayor of Mt. View and alll other enforcement agancies allow Prometheus, the management company of Americana to get away with whatever they want to do. The affected tenants (more than 99%) have foreign names...or are a member of a minority group! Now you understand why?

Form a member of a minority group and an Americana tenant!

I live in apartment 12 in the Americana right next to apartment 5 and I think this is unbelieveable! They should work on apartment 5 right away.

Please, everyone, contact as many media outlets (TV, radio, internet) about this story as possible. This is a disgrace and the story needs to get out. Babies are having to move out of apartments contaminated by asbestos. Many of these people have no where to go and are foreign with little knowledge of tenants' rights.

Prometheus has done it all before-with the same results.

See:

It looks like they got away with it!
