How much does it cost to build a school for 85 children in Nepal, including five classrooms and dormitory rooms for the four teachers? Mountain View residents David and Susan Burwen, who funded the construction of such a school in Soloban, Nepal, were pleasantly surprised to learn that the price tag was just $6,000.

Applause to Jennifer Pence for her excellent article highlighting the philanthropy happening in our local community. The Berwen's story is an inspiring one.
