It was nice to revisit this story after reading about the death of James Satake recently. RIP, Mr. Satake.

My name is Rosemary I remember my dad Pedro diaz working at the Satake nursery back in 1963. My family lived in the 2 houses that were in the back of the nursery. Also my brother Arthur Chavez worked there. I have some good memories of the Satake nursery, I do remember Jim Satate smoking cigars and playing with his kids. And playing in the big piles of dirty that was used for the plants. I can't believe I found this place and picture of the Satake nursery.
