Golfers and other park users say a huge population of Canada geese at Shoreline Park is turning the lawns and links into a mine field of bird droppings.

There are many commercially available, non-lethal methods and product that can be used to repel and control pesky Canada Geese and other bird species.

It's a question of coordination and research by authorities. The Minnesota bridge collapse could have been caused by excessive pigeon droppings and accelerated structural deterioration of the bridge. If the DOT had placed Bird Netting or Bird Spikes or electronic systems, the pigeons probably would have chosen a more comfortable place to nest and roost.
