Celebrating the Life of Rosemary Virginia Wardell

Rosemary Virginia Wardell born on December 9, 1940, to John Brooks and Dorothy Boyd in Reno, Nevada. She was the youngest of four siblings. At an early age the family relocated to Southern California where she attended Uni High School She graduated high school in 1958.

In 1958 she met the love of her life and married John “Jack” Wardell and remained soul mates until her departure. Rosemary and Jack raised their children Russell “Russ” Wardell and Constance “Connie” Prince in Palo Alto, California. Rosemary was a very creative person. She built many successful businesses using her creative talents especially in the area of design. Rosemary continued sharing her creative gifts until the end. She made Christmas decorations and made sure each of her grandchildren had them for this upcoming holiday season. Rosemary passed on her business acumen and creativity to her children and grandchildren who carry this gift in their business endeavors. Rosemary loved family. She loved having family over and decorating for the holidays.

Rosemary’s bright smile and effervescent personality lit up every room she entered. Her infectious personality made it a joy in every celebration with family and friends. Rosemary made many lifelong friends that became family. She and Jack would make the rounds to visit and check on friends both near and far.

Rosemary is survived by her loving husband Jack Wardell, her son Russ (Sherry) Wardell, and her daughter Connie Prince. Her daughter Jeanine, brothers Donald Boyd, John Boyd , and sister Carol Acker preceded her in death. Rosemary leaves to mourn her passing, four grandchildren, Rosemary (Eric) Handa, Roger (Nakiesha) Prince, Rachel Prince, and Kyle (Sarah) Wardell. She leaves a legacy of love and creativity to 11 great grandchildren Taylor, Skylar, Serena, Kyla, Haylee, Roger, Josiah, Delores, Kori, Wyatt, and Chase. Rosemary’s spirit epitomized by love, giving, and creativity lives on through all she touched.
