Peninsula Restaurant Week will be held this year from May 19-27.

Starting May 19, nearly 100 restaurants throughout the Peninsula will begin a nine-day culinary celebration highlighting the region’s diverse dining scene.
Eateries participating in the third annual Peninsula Restaurant Week May 19-27 will be offering special deals, menus and dishes.
"Peninsula Restaurant Week is a fantastic opportunity for food enthusiasts to explore the incredible culinary scene on The Peninsula, while supporting local businesses and building community," said John Hutar, president & CEO of The San Francisco Peninsula, in a statement. The San Francisco Peninsula is the convention and visitors' bureau for the area.
The Peninsula Foodist started the event in 2021 as an initiative to give diners more ways to support local restaurants as the Peninsula reopened following restaurant shutdowns and ongoing economic impacts of the coronavirus pandemic.
About 1 in 6 restaurants nationwide closed permanently or long term in the first six months of the pandemic, according to the National Restaurant Association. But the restaurant industry is working toward recovery: Over the last 28 months, that industry was the top job creator nationwide, adding more than 2.5 million jobs.
Participating restaurants range from the newly opened Proper Food in Menlo Park to the 165-year-old 7 Mile House in Brisbane, with specials including one-time offerings, discounts on select dishes and prix-fixe menus.
There will be a $500 grand prize giveaway with gift cards to Vivace Restaurant, LV Mar, Italico and Left Bank Brasserie and smaller giveaways including $50 gift cards to Rosalind Bakery, The Tavern in Belmont, Coupa Cafe and others.
Peninsula Restaurant Week is supported by The San Francisco Peninsula, the San Mateo County/Silicon Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau, sister publication The Six Fifty and Embarcadero Media, the parent company of the Peninsula Foodist.
