Premarital and Couples: Road Trips and Getaways

Uploaded: Dec 20, 2019
I was recently sent research indicating that a weekend away is the number one romantic gift that both men and women want.

David Skernick is a photographer (this Shasta shot is one of his) with two new books out: Back Roads of Northern California and Back Roads of Southern California. The photos are gorgeous and they inspired me to embark on a road trip with my husband.

I always enjoy images where the landscape is reflected in a body of water. I had no idea there are Zebras near Santa Barbara! The moonbow photo in Yosemite is a favorite of mine.

In September, my husband and I had a long drive (moving my son and his fiance home after college in Oregon), and we talked about any and everything (dreams, hopes, concerns, humor, witty bantering, finances, kids, etc.), read a book aloud to each other and discussed it, etc. Road trips are special times together. Set your devices aside and enjoy each other, the scenery, and your adventures.

Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa!
