Revere Coffee and Tea shutters in Redwood City

Uploaded: Nov 14, 2019
After about a year and a half of business on Broadway Street in Redwood City, Revere Coffee and Tea has closed.

Owner Lily Lai confirmed the closure. She said it "wasn't really working out" and that the local coffee market had become oversaturated.

A former product manager and native of San Francisco, Lai opened the 2074 Broadway St. cafe last summer. Revere served coffee, tea, toasts and ice cream.

She said Thursday that she doesn't plan to reopen Revere elsewhere.

Lilly is correct; downtown RWC has a ton of coffee places. 2 or 3 Starbucks, a Peet's Coffee, Phil's Coffee, Coupa Coffee, Red Giant, Cyclismo, and another new place in the Box Building. Aslo, some very nice bakeries. But, the good news is that Zuckerberg Chan will be opening soon and those guys will need gallons of coffee!
