Ice cream shop Rolled Up Creamery is now open at 2621 Broadway St. in downtown Redwood City.
If you're unfamiliar with the concept, Thai-style rolled ice cream is made by pouring an ice cream base onto a flat, cold surface, mixing in desired add-ins, scraping and chopping it repeatedly and then rolling it into papyrus scroll-shaped servings.
A Redwood City native who graduated from Woodside High School in 2007 opened Rolled Up Creamery after trying it in New York City, according to the shop's Yelp page.
The ice cream shop is open daily from 12:30-8:30 p.m. and until 10 p.m. Thursday-Saturday.
