Now Menlo Tavern, the restaurant's bar opened last week and the dining room on Monday.
Menlo Tavern is now serving breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Stanford Park Hotel in Menlo Park.
General Manager Patrick Lane said in a previous interview that he decided to run the restaurant as its own business separate from the hotel, which prompted the revamp.
The updated menu skews toward American comfort food, like skillet corn bread, deviled eggs, cast iron-seared salmon, burgers (including a meatless Impossible Burger), pasta, roasted chicken and filet mignon. Lunch dishes range from $15 to $19, and dinner entrees range from $16 to $39. Those looking to splurge can get the "fries and bubbles," French fries with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot ($135), or California white sturgeon caviar, créme fraiche and potato chips paired with a martini ($45).
The restaurant is meant to serve the local community as much as hotel guests, Lane said.
Menlo Tavern opens for breakfast at 6:30 a.m. Monday through Friday and 7:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Lunch starts daily at 11 a.m. and dinner at 5pm. The bar is open daily until midnight.
