Joe & the Juice opens in Redwood City

Uploaded: Feb 20, 2019
Downtown Redwood City is the latest Peninsula neighborhood to get a new Joe & the Juice.

An outpost of the Danish juice and coffee chain, which is expanding rapidly in the Bay Area, is now open at 889 Winslow St., the site of SendGrid's new 15,000-square-foot office. The new Joe & the Juice joins nearby locations in Palo Alto, Burlingame, San Mateo and throughout San Francisco.

Joe & the Juice serves fruit and vegetable juices, smoothies, coffee, breakfast food and sandwiches. The concept is geared toward "millennial customers looking for convenience as they live fast-paced, yet healthy lifestyles," the company says.

Joe & the Juice started in Copenhagen more than 15 years ago and is now a massive international chain with more than 250 stores in more than 15 countries. The company is also reportedly considering an initial public offering this year, according to Bloomberg.

The Redwood City cafe is open Monday-Friday, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends.

"Joe and the Juice" is an excellent match for Redwood City! With many new offices and residential homes going up, there will be plenty of business for Joe and his crew. "Chan Zukerberg's" new building is about to open and it's young, upscale office workers are looking for healthy, nutritious food that does take all day to prepare. If Joe's prices are similar to Jamba Juice, those folks will pay around $7 for their snack ..... but fruit, veggies and protein whey can fill you up for the whole afternoon ! Good luck to them ....
