Renovated Fu Lam Mum reopens in Mountain View

Uploaded: Dec 14, 2018
Downtown Mountain View dim sum favorite Fu Lam Mum has reopened in a remodeled, single-floor space.

The massive restaurant at 153 Castro St. closed for renovations in early 2017. Owner Ben Quan decided to convert a second-floor mezzanine previously used by the restaurant to office space and hoped to reopen that fall.

Fu Lam Mum officially reopened on Nov. 30, according to an employee.

Diner Virginia C. weighed in with a Haiku-like Yelp review about the reopening:

"Newly renovated
Waitress are all nice some new some old
New and clean
Food is good
Service is also very good
We've been coming for years"

Fu Lam Mum is now open for lunch, Tuesday-Friday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to a photo posted on Yelp. Dinner is served Sunday-Thursday 5-9:45 p.m. and Friday-Saturday, 5-10:30 p.m. Fu Lam Mum is closed on Mondays.

Quan first opened Fu Lam Mum in a different location on Castro Street nearly two decades ago. He also owns Hong Kong Bistro at 147 Castro St.
