Redwood City wine bar Bottle Shop to open Dec. 7

Uploaded: Dec 7, 2018
California-focused wine bar Bottle Shop will open today, Friday, Dec. 7, at 2627 Broadway St. in downtown Redwood City, according to an Instagram post.

Zu Tarazi, who began his career as a manager at the longtime John Bentley's in Redwood City and went on to open two local restaurants, including the nearby Kristie Marie’s, is behind Bottle Shop, along with his wife, namesake Kristie Marie.

An Instagram post announcing Bottle Shop's Dec. 7 opening.

An earlier Instagram post describes Bottle Shop as "a gathering spot with great hard-to-find wines and a chance to catch up with friends and family over a glass (or three!)." The wine bar will serve primarily small-production California wines, plus champagne. View the wine list here.

Bottle Shop will be pouring wine and "hella bubbles" for the Friday opening as well as serving cheese, charcuterie and focaccia from Kristie Marie’s, the Instagram post reads.

Wine will also be available for purchase to take to go or to open at the bar. Bottle Shop also offers a wine club membership focused on small-production wines hand-selected by Tarazi.

Bottle Shop will be open Monday-Saturday, 3-10 p.m.
