New bakery opens in downtown Mountain View

Uploaded: Jun 12, 2018
Treats on Castro, the second outpost of a family-owned San Jose bakery, is now open in downtown Mountain View.

The family that owns C'est Si Bon in San Jose opened the bakery at 282 Castro St. on June 1.

The bakery specializes in custom cakes and Persian pastries but also serves cupcakes, pies, jam and other desserts. Treats on Castro also sells products from local vendors, including chocolate bars, cookies, vegan desserts and ice cream.

The new location is more grab-and-go than the San Jose bakery. People can also order and pick up custom cakes in Mountain View. There are also supplies for making and decorating cakes for sale.

Treats on Castro is open Tuesday-Thursday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday-Saturday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Democracy.
What is it worth to you?
