The $5 single scoop size is pretty tiny so if you want to feel satisfied, you'll want to order a double at about $7. This is from my experience with the WC shop. Prices may be higher at Stanford due to the rent.

Personally, I've never tasted better ice cream than the kind I can make at home. Get quality seasonal ingredients at farmer's market. The rest is EASY, and for 15 bucks you'll have a 1/2 gallon left in the freezer for later or to share with friends, who will become your BEST friends after they taste what you created.

But homemade is always best, This is Palo Alto. If it is not priced high enough, people won't go there. And Prices have to be high to keep low income people from visiting these places to avoid causing discomfort to rich people. LOL. And I never understood the madness behind people's craziness and standing in line to buy this stuff.

$3.00 will buy you a half-gallon of Safeway Select this week. Except half gallons are now just a quart and a half.

Safeway Select is NASTY! It's not "ice cream". Have you read labels lately? Everything is proessed/fake, a long ingredient list, and gmo-laden foods. Why does ice cream need more than the standard few(er) (the fewer the better!) needed ingredients? It's unhealthy and overly sweetened too.
