SweetHoney Dessert opens in Mountain View

Uploaded: May 3, 2018
A franchise of Chinese dessert chain SweetHoney has opened in downtown Mountain View.

SweetHoney opened at 841 Villa St., the former home of Korean restaurants Song Pa and Totoro, in late April.

SweetHoney serves a range of "Hong Kong-style" sweet and savory desserts that are unusual for the Midpeninsula, like red bean tofu pudding, durian pancakes and toddy palm jelly. Menu items are listed in both Chinese and English (and thankfully, with photos).

There are more than 600 SweetHoney locations in China, Southeast Asia and Australia alone. Locally, there are outposts in Colma City, San Leandro and Dublin with a dozen more promised for California.

SweetHoney Mountain View is open Tuesday-Sunday, 3-11 p.m. on weekdays and until midnight on Friday and Saturdays.
