Sharetea soft opens in Palo Alto

Uploaded: Jun 13, 2016
Sharetea, an international Taiwanese milk-tea chain, opened a new outpost in downtown Palo Alto today, Monday, June 13.

The shop at 540 Bryant St. is holding a soft opening through Saturday, June 18. There will be a grand opening event on Sunday, June 19.

Like other similar boba shops in the area, Sharetea serves create-your-own or pre-set combinations of tea flavors like classic pearl milk, oolong, black and green tea and more, plus toppings (fruit, popping boba, aloe vera and even ice cream at Sharetea). Customers View the full menu here.

The first Sharetea opened in Taipei City in Taiwan in 1992, according to the company’s website. More locations, including franchises, followed throughout the globe -- in China, the U.S., Canada, England, Dubai, Singapore and beyond. The company first expanded into the United States in 2013.

Opening hours in Palo Alto are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Any info on the closure of the Breakfast House in Midtown on Middlefield? It seems to have closed up abruptly with no sign or anything.

Lucy: My colleague Daryl Savage, who writes a retail column for the Palo Alto Weekly, will have some news on Breakfast House in an upcoming column. Look for it soon!
