Now open: Second Coupa Cafe in Palo Alto

Uploaded: Jan 26, 2016
Coupa Cafe has upped its fleet of cafes to eight with the opening this week of a brand new downtown Palo Alto location.

The cafe is now open at 111 Lytton Ave., sandwiched between Survey Monkey and gelato shop Gelataio, just across the street from the downtown Caltrain station.

Coupa Cafe's eighth location is now open on Lytton Avenue in downtown Palo Alto.

It joins Coupa's original location several blocks away on Ramona Street as well as outposts on the Stanford University campus, Stanford Golf Course and one in Beverly Hills. The Coupal family opened the first Palo Alto cafe in 2004 and has steadily expanded since then.

You'll find all your favorites at the new Coupa -- espresso drinks, arepas, sandwiches, salads -- plus some new menu items (boba, burgers, tacos, even a shrimp po'boy). Check out the menu here.

Preliminary hours for the Lytton Avenue Coupa are Monday-Friday, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed Sunday), according to the cafe's website.

Read more details about the new cafe in Daryl Savage's Palo Alto Weekly ShopTalk column here.

So does this mean that Coupa is now a "chain" and the city should ban them from being in the city because they are taking over all the local small businesses.

:^)

@Marc-- Funnily enough, Los Gatos recognizes Formula Retail as having more than 7 stores so you would correct. I believe Palo Alto recognizes Formula Retail as 10+ locations so we are safe for now. More Coupa!

Well, OK; it's very local and it looks like the Bernie Sanders for President campaign in there . Anyway, $4.75 for a Cafe Mocha is too much for me ... Back to Peet's ...
