Cancer Mask to Butterfly

Uploaded: Feb 16, 2015
My sister-in-law, Marjie Anderson of Anderson Creative transformed mom's cancer treatment mask into an amazing butterfly.

I don't know if you've ever seen one of these masks, but they are made to fit the patient like a glove, then it is snapped into the table so the docs can radiate the same exact spots each time.

When Marjie took the mask from Mom's house, with her permission, in a plastic garbage bag, that's where I felt it belonged.

And now like a butterfly from a cocoon, it is transformed to beauty. It cracked my heart open yesterday at the memorial service.

I hope that mom is cracked open to being a butterfly now.
Democracy.
What is it worth to you?
