Opening alert: Tout Sweet Patisserie in Palo Alto

Uploaded: Dec 24, 2014
Time for even more holiday sweets: Top Chef desserts winner Yigit Pura's Tout Sweet Patisserie will be opening at Town & Country Village in Palo Alto Friday, Dec. 26.

Pura opened his first Tout Sweet in Macy's Union Square in San Francisco two years ago. The Palo Alto outpost will be similar, but with a smaller space ? about 500 square feet squeezed between Sushi House and Belcampo Meat Co. ? the menu will be more limited. Tout Sweet serves up macarons, marshmallows, cookies, brittles, cakes, tarts, parfaits, jams, fruit pates and the like. The signature Petit Tout Sweet is a layered flourless chocolate cake with candied milk jam and chocolate pearls. Here's the patisserie menu to get an idea.

Palo Alto will also sell frozen doughs for those who want to make Pura's creations at home.

Read more about the Tout Sweet backstory in my first post on the patisserie's opening here.
