Go Giants! Next Stop: World Series!

Uploaded: Oct 16, 2014
We're on the cusp of winning the League Championship tonight, and I am excited about that.

I've been a football fan since I was a girl. However, being hit by a rock in the head at age 10 that was batted at me by a neighborhood bully, and then getting a bat hit into my jaw in PE at Addison School in 4th grade, put me off baseball.

I had gone to a couple of innings here and there with friends, but it seemed boring and slow; I went to be with my friends.

Then when my husband was recovering from cancer and all he could do was sit in the recliner and watch his favorite sport since he was eight years old, he taught me about baseball. And he knows all the ins and outs, and now I can play call from my couch like the best of them.

Go Giants!

Update: My husband's boss gave him tickets to the Thursday night game. So I was there to see the Giants become NL Champs again!! The fireworks were incredible. The crowd energy was amazing (I wore ear plugs, it was so loud). The people sitting near us were great (except the Cards fans behind us with 'nasty mouth' syndrome), My voice was tired from cheering. We stood to see because everyone was on their feet. I will likely always remember this.
Democracy.
What is it worth to you?

Congratulations to 'Giants' fans and Giants.

It energizes us when our teams reach finals!

Enjoy the next five games!
