Palo Alto Grill Milo? Winery dinner
Palo Alto Grill is hosting a four-course wine-pairing dinner tonight, March 27, starting at 6:30 p.m. Special menu items will be paired with wine from the Milo? Winery, which is located on Croatia's Pelje?ac Peninsula. Pairings will include sautéed shrimp with garlic butter and shaved fennel served with a 2012 Stagnum rosé; oven-braised sarma cabbage stuffed with veal and rice with a 2009 Plavac; dalmatian pastiçada beef short ribs with fig, roasted garlic and gnocchi with a 2006 Stagnum; and brioche beignets with strawberry-rose ice cream and meringue served with 2007 Stagnum Poluslatki (semi-sweet)/2007 Stagnum Desertni. Reservations are required. Cost: $85.

Steins Beer Garden Anniversary BBQ
Steins Beer Garden in Mountain View is hosting an all-weekend barbecue this Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m to 6 p.m., to celebrate its one-year anniversary. Craft beers will, of course, also be on hand.

Left Bank Stone Brewing Co. pairing dinner
Left Bank Brasserie in Menlo Park, is hosting a "La Fête de la Bière" featuring brews from Stone Brewing Co. on Saturday, April 12, and Sunday, April 13. During regular hours, the restaurant will serve a seasonal four-course prix fixe tasting menu with each course designed to pair with a sample of select Stone Brewing Co. beers. In addition, a sampler flight of four Stone Brewing Co. beers (5 oz. pours) will be offered for $10 and pints will be available for $6. Cost (of meal): $30.

Star Chefs and the Wine (and Spirits) They Love
On Sunday, April 13, 15 notable chefs will descend on Mountain View to cook at this fundraiser for Child Advocates of Silicon Valley. Wineries will also participate. This year's chefs include Jarad Gallagher (executive chef of Chez TJ), Ross Hanson (executive chef of Oak & Rye), Avery Ruzicka (head baker of the Manresa Bread Project) and others. Cost: $150. Dishcrawl: Redwood City
Dishcrawl ? the organization that runs culinary versions of a bar crawl ? is hosting its first event in Redwood City on April 15 at 7 p.m.. A "local ambassador" will lead participants through three restaurants in the area, walking from each and tasting three different dishes at each restaurant. The event is vegetarian and kid friendly. Drinks are not included. All ticket holders will be notified where to meet 48 hours before the event; Dishcrawl is also keeping the three selected eateries a secret for now. Cost: $45. Napa Valley wine tasting at Quattro
Quattro at the Four Seasons in East Palo Alto is hosting a wine tasting Saturday, April 26, 3-5 p.m., featuring seven Napa Valley wineries: Far Niente, Silver Oak, Duckhorn Vineyards, Chateau Montelena Winery, Nickel & Nickel, Twomey, Paraduxx and Rudius. Complimentary "light fare" will also be served. Guests will be able to vote for their favorite wine for a chance to win two complimentary entries to Quattro's next wine tasting. Family Farm Brunch at Hidden Villa
The Alley (a soon-to-open restaurant in Los Altos) is teaming up with Hidden Villa to host "Family Farm Brunch" on Sunday, May 4, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Chef Marty Cattaneo will prepare a "truly farm-to-table" brunch in an outdoor kitchen at Hidden Villa using on-site ingredients. Before eating, participants will go on a tour of the farm, gather herbs and eggs from the henhouse and learn about the farm and sustainable practices. the darbar had a vegetable onion thing on buffet, kind of red color had a chinese sweet and sour sauce taste but don't know what itr was. but is was a good type of sweet sour sauce, red like chinese but some kind of indian dish. never saw that before. but tasted exactly like a good chinese sauce but probably wasn't.
