February on the Peninsula is clearly a month for love ? and beer. Check out what I mean in this roundup of local food and drinks events around town this month:

21st Amendment Brewery dinner
On Saturday, Feb. 8, from 6-9 p.m., Left Bank in Menlo Park will be serving four-course prix fixe menu paired with 21st Amendment beer samples. Brewmaster dinner at Scott's Seafood Mountain View
As part of SF Beer Week, Scott's Seafood in Mountain View will be hosting a brewmaster dinner with San Jose-based Hermitage Brewing Company on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 7-9 p.m. The restaurant will serve a four-course special menu; each item will be paired with a Hermitage brew.
Cost: $40 (tax and tip not included).

'Beer Ice Cream ? Made to Order'
Recently opened Smitten Ice Cream in Los Altos is also hopping on the SF Beer Week train with a beer-infused ice cream tasting event. On Wednesday, Feb. 12, from 5 to 8 p.m., indulge in Smitten's made-to-order ice cream flavors merged with local beers, including Simtra Triple IPA from Knee Deep Brewing Company, the limited and seasonal release Stout from San Jose's Strike Brewing Company, a Gordon Biersch Brewing Company hefeweizen, Onoskelis Barleywine from Palo Alto Brewing Company and Biere de Chocolat from Almanac Beer Company. Valentine's Cheese Night at Whole Foods Palo Alto
Learn how to make cheese-based appetizers with a Valentine's Day theme at this free Whole Foods event on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 6-7:30 p.m. Menu items include strawberry and goat cheese crostini, champagne and honey fondue and blue cheese and pear on endives. As part of Shoreline Lake's relatively new wine seminar series, check out "Wine and Romance," just in time for Valentine's Day on Wednesday, Feb. 12.
