A bill to allow Amsterdam-style cannabis cafes in California has been vetoed by Gov. Gavin Newsom, according to Assemblymember Matt Haney, who authored the legislation.

So can't the legislature override his veto? 66-9 sounds like it has broad support. Of course it wasn't reported what it passed in the Senate by, but guessing it was something similar???

Or is overriding Newsome's vetos something we don't want to do because it would make his presidential campaign (when he decides to run) look bad?
