"Labyrinth at WSP "
Waldorf School of the Peninsula High school students designed and built this walk-able labyrinth on the Mountain View campus in just 4 days during their Experiential Interdisciplinary week earlier this month. Join us on February 6th from 6 to 9 pm for a 'Renaissance in Education' evening where you will have the opportunity to walk the labyrinth as well as experience a dynamic blend of musical and dramatic performances with artistic and academic displays, this multi-faceted event will showcase the rich interdisciplinary facets of Waldorf middle and high school curriculum. Classroom exhibits will feature main lesson books (student-created, hand-bound texts) on subjects ranging from The Renaissance and Revolutions to Organic Chemistry and Projective Geometry. Art works on display include stone sculptures, clay portraits, woodworking, fabric designs, veil paintings, notan, baskets and more. Throughout the evening, visitors can enjoy student performances of drumming, orchestra, Eurythmy (a form of movement unique to Waldorf education), Shakespearean monologues, and an array of offerings in choral and instrumental music.
Light refreshments will be served.
