Catch your favorite films by the "Master of Suspense" at Stanford Theatre's Alfred Hitchcock Film Festival, which runs through Sunday, April 14. The annual festival, which started Friday, will showcase 22 of the English director's films over the next five weeks.
Many of the 50 feature films Hitchcock produced and directed during his 60-year career were originally screened at the historic Stanford Theatre, which opened its doors in 1925 -- the same year Hitchcock directed his first feature film ("The Pleasure Garden") and began making thrillers that changed the movie world. Movies will be shown Wednesdays through Sundays. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for seniors/youth and are available at the box office on the day of the show. The Stanford Theatre is located at 221 University Ave., Palo Alto.
